Here we are at 11 weeks and going strong. Our little guy in measuring 1 day ahead with a HB of 159 today. He was wiggling and moving around so much. Extremely active!! I have one more appointment with my RE which will be July 28th. We aren't doing it next week because he is out of town. I have my appointment with the MFM next Friday, so I won't go without an appointment this week. It's going to be tough when I am not having weekly scans. Some really good news...no more PIO!! :) Things are moving right along and our little boy looks very healthy!! This is an exciting week ahead of me. We have 8 more PIO shots and 4 more days of estrogen pills and patches. I will be done with both at 10 weeks gestation, but will do 3 more PIO shots every other day just to wean off. So close!!
I also have my first OB appointment on Wednesday, which I will have an ultrasound and do all the first trimester testing stuff. I think I am going to go every 4 weeks until either 20 or 24 weeks, since I had the stillborn at 28 weeks before. Then I have an appointment on Friday with my fertility specialist. Not sure if that will be graduation day, or if I will go another week. I have a feel like I will be going until I am completely weaned off the medicine. I am honestly ready to be a normal pregnant woman and not get an ultrasound every week. It is nice to see the baby growing, but it is also nerve racking to go so much. Almost out of this first trimester!! YAY!! Progesterone in oil shots were tolerable at the beginning, then I could accept after we saw babies but now I'm sick of them!! Every other night my husband seems to hit a vein and have to re-poke me. I have so many big lumps that he is running out of spots to give them. Also, I bleed from the spot almost every time. Then last night, he hit my sciatic nerve!!! Omg, that was the worse pain every...I cried on the floor for hours and today my leg and back is still sore. :( so worried to get my shot tonight. Only good thing is I should only have about 2 weeks left of shots!!! Ahh...feels good to vent sometimes :) Sorry I have not posted as much lately. We had an ultrasound again on June 13th and we saw both heart beats moving and both babies measuring on track, so we were super excited that the twins were doing so well. We went ahead and starting doing some announcements that we were expecting twins. We saw heart beats and felt very confident, since we have done the genetic testing on the babies.
My doctor wanted to actually hear the heartbeats, so we went again on June 16th. It was just a few days later and I was 6w3d. We heard both heart beats this time and was very happy. Baby A had a heart rate of 110 and was measuring 6w2d, and Baby B had a heart rate of only 78 and was measuring 6w1d. Our doctor was no concerned with Baby B at this point, since I was still so early. So I am now moving to weekly ultrasounds with him. We go in yesterday, June 23rd for my weekly ultrasound. i am 7w3d at the time of it. The doctor was doing a procedure, so I had the nurse do the ultrasound. She had a little trouble with it, since I have a tilted uterus. She saw both gestational sacs, then picked up Baby A. This one was measuring 7w2d abd had a heart rate of 156! So blessed Baby A is getting stronger. She has trouble picking up Baby B and keeps seeing the yolk sac which concerned me, because we did not see much of a yolk sac on Baby A anymore. This nurse ended up calling in another nurse to see if she can have any luck. She saw a little more, but said she was concerned because of the growth difference and they wanted my doctor to do the scan. So they had me come back that afternoon to see him. I go in for my second scan and the doctor saw Baby A right away. He then took a look at Baby B and mentioned the size difference. He ended up finding a heart rate, but it has now dropped to 72 and the baby is only measuring 6w5d. He said the baby hasn't given up yet, but it is not looking good for Baby B since his heart rate and growth has slowed down. My next scan is Friday just to see what is going on. My doctor said if I feel like I need to, then I can come Wednesday but it is out of my control so I am okay waiting till Friday. We have 2 that are looking perfect!! One measured 5w1d and the other 5w0d. Next ultrasound will be in 4 days to see if we can see heart beats yet and see how they are growing. :) My 1st beta was suppose to be today 14 days after my 5 day transfer, but I was having a reaction to my PIO shots. I had a dollar sized red bump! It was no fun and hurting. My doctor had me come in last week which was 7 days after my transfer to look at the spot. He changed up the type of oil in my PIO and it seems to me helping. Anyways, I told him that I had a postive HPT and he checked my beta!! It was only 39, but that is a great number for so early. He then re-checked it 12 days after transfer and it went up to 215! Almost right at doubled every 24 hours. I now go again today which is 14 days after the transfer to see how much it goes up. He will have me come in every other day until it is over 1000. Once I hit that magic number, then I will start weekly ultrasounds. I cannot wait to see my little bean or beans!!
Two perfect embryos transferred on May 21st, now I'm in the dreaded 2ww. I am analyzing everything a feel! Let's hope it is all good signs though. I'm 2dp5dt, and will probably test at 5dp!! My frozen embryo transfer is scheduled for the 21st. I think the plan will be to put both in, but my husband wants to know the risk of them splitting. All on track for my transfer, lining is almost at 8! I go back Friday for a check up and will start my PIO. Yikes!! Those are the big shots. :( Everyday we keep getting closer to being pregnant with our next miracle baby. |
